Kikuka-chan

 She had loved thunderstorms once. The forecast had promised nice weather but clearly the weather man had been lying on the news that morning. Rain had formed huge puddles on roads and sidewalks and turned lawns into marshes. High hopes for the evening were dashed as soon as dark clouds collected around four that afternoon. Phoebe watched with a blank expression as the downpour battered the glass of the front door at a forty-five degree angle and mentally kept track as drops collected and then raced down the pane. It was like her own old silent movie; the rain noiselessly hit the glass and the sky lit up with lightning that had no thunder.
